Elizabeth and Breda have just returned from a trip to the Ivory Coast, where they spent a short time with Pastor Solomon, his wife Armande & Family. It was a wonderful and refreshing experience and they both found the trip very rewarding.
Elizabeth: “For me, the trip was very different to my previous experience of mission trips. I was hugely encouraged with the work which Solomon, Armande and their team are doing in The Rehabilitation Centre for Young Girls (aged between 15 and 25 years) who are moving from a life of prostitution on the streets. These girls are now in the process of being sponsored to pursue a career, or a trade, or even a return to education, having completed an intensive course to cover all their needs. Sponsorship costs about 70 euro per month, per person.”
Breda: “This trip was a dream come true and an unforgettable experience. Having previously visited Ghana with Elizabeth, I found it very interesting to compare the similarities and contrasts with another West African country. I felt privileged to witness the tremendous work that Pastor Solomon is doing there.”
Rev. Solomon is the Head Pastor of Living Foundation International Church which is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO). He simply defines his ministry as ‘meeting human needs’ in accordance with the life of Jesus Christ. This is a two-fold vision centre on:
(a) The ministering of the Word of God
(b) The Meeting of Human Needs
The lives of many young girls are transformed as Solomon and his faithful team this fulfil this calling on their lives.
