Elizabeth Byrne joined up with a team from International Gospel Outreach who visited Ghana in January 2005.
The team was led by Rev. Kingsley Armstrong, President of IGO, and the aim was to encourage the Ministry of Rev. Osmond Owusu.
We visited a hospital, helped deliver a baby, visited the orphanage and preached in the Open Air.
In three different locations over a 2-night period, we set up a screen and video projector and showed ‘The Passion of the Christ’ and then asked for a response. This was amazing with scores of people giving their lives to Jesus as a result of being challenged by the film and the Word.
Elizabeth also visited a more rural community and really enjoyed meeting with the ‘country’ people.
We are hoping to join the team again in January 2006 and will, this time, be holding some of the meetings outside Accra, in the villages.
The response to raising help for Rev. Osmond’s work in Accra has been fantastic and a container of aid was sent out in September 2005.
